Each game of Dordle features two grids side by side. The player types a five-letter word as a guess, and that guess is applied to both grids simultaneously.

After submission, each grid provides color feedback to indicate how close the guess is to the solution. Green shows a correct letter in the right spot, yellow marks a correct letter in the wrong position, and gray means the letter is not in the word.

Players have seven total attempts to find both words. Because every guess affects both puzzles, the game requires a balance between exploring new letter combinations and narrowing down known patterns.
